Booktender 2010: The July That Was

Oh what a fun month it has been! Celebration, History!, heat! What more could we ask for?

In recent months, the coyote population around the house seems to have moved out.  Most likely, they have hunted out all the cute quail and bunnies I used to see.

There are still occasional hysterical coyote outbursts and unclaimed messes in the complex, so the matter is up for debate.

The 4th of July in Phoenix is rather dull compared to other parts of the country. Face it barbecues, picnics, and fireworks are just not that attractive when it's 117 degrees fahrenheit outside. Fortunately, we do have time to stay indoors in the blessed air conditioning and consider the history of this great country

The History of the Selective Service in the United States.

Let us not forget popular culture:

Because, after all:

Rumors of Star Wars and Star Trek Remakes and Cross-Over Series
Continue to Plague Hollywood
demotivational posters - STORM TROOPERS
see more Very Demotivational

4 koma comic strip - Mind Bombing The Planet
see more Comixed

That's it for a very belated July Review!  Expect August very soon.  I think.

Here's to hope!

NOTE: It was later revealed that "Mister" Lattimer was actually "Mrs." Lattimer. The real Mr. Lattimer enlisted in the Army.
