Booktender 2010: The December that Was

Believe it or not, there are some noteworthy things that happen during Solstichristmakwanzakuhvus.  And not just the rightful and solemn rememberance of Pearl Harbor.  Let's take a look, shall we?

This is the time of year that lots of places, including my favorite silly picture resources, release their top tens:

With concerns about the US infrastructure and the price of gas, interest in alternative modes of transportation seem to have increased this year

funny pictures history - The reason beans are banned on Amtrak today.

Face it, 2010 was a rough year.

funny pictures-You want to impress me, Frank? Get a job and move out of your Mom's basement.

I choose to remain optimistic

Here at the 'ol biblioteca, we have seen change, unchange, and re-change due to current budget.  It is enough to drive a person bonkers.  Some things have, fortunately remained comfortably unchanged.

funny pictures - GREY POOP-ON

funny pictures-Well, of course, I'm pigeon-toed.

Arizona remains a strange and frightening place to live.  Please pray that cooler heads prevail this year

funny pictures history - Kitchen this!

funny pictures history - They grow up so fast.

Unusually cold here in AZ this week

Preparing for Winter...AND HELL!

An odd month to be sure.  As I said, I remain an optimist.  It's my nature.  Otherwise I'd just spend all my days curled up on the floor of my closet quietly sobbing.

Meanwhile, in Russia

And that's just the way it was, December 2010
