Nope, not even gonna put in WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.  Nope.  Librarians are, unfortunately, not ones to toot their own horns.  Still, National Library Week last week seemed to be a success.  Our nefarious recruiting techniques seem to be having an effect on the young. 

Our campaign slogan was largely ignored:  Today Librarianship, Tomorrow Our Own Series!

But what does a librarian do to celebrate National Library Week?  Here's the secret:  We go into the receiving room and dance like Ellen Degeneres

Summer is rearing its ugly head here in AZ.  Now I've gone on and on and on about my fear of men wearing fanny packs below their beer bellies, but I confess now there is something else that drives me nearly as nuts.  All summer long people come traipsing into the 'ol biblioteca in worn-out sweated-out clothing and their dirty feet displayed in flip-flops in varying ranges of disrepair.  It's creepy.
